Programme Highlight
The new building, Shatin Communications and Technology Centre (SCTC) is significant to the Hong Kong Jockey Club in supporting to business growth and to deliver a new and better world-class working environment for staff. The operation of SCTC is involving a wide range of business functions and specialists, plus environmental-friendly building facilities. It brings together a series of core operations within an improved, more sustainable environment which caters to the long-term operational requirements of the Club. Measuring a gross floor area of over 50,000 m2, the new facility has been a significant undertaking for the Property - Facilities Management team of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The building accommodates the Club’s Main Telebet Centre, an Integrated Call Centre, the IT Department, Broadcasting Department facilities including their television studios, and a Hong Kong Jockey Club College for ongoing development of Club employees. This building obtained BEAM Plus Gold, LEED Gold certification, and ASHRAE 2016 Region XIII (Asia) Technology Award.

Ir Jacky Ng is the Technical Services Manager in The Hong Kong Jockey Club, who is responsible for operation and maintenance, project management on the corporate facilities and building services infrastructure. He has 20 years engineering experience in facilities management, project management and building construction. During the construction period of SCTC, Jacky was seconded from Facilities Management to the Project Management team. His major roles and involvement are including integration of FM, technical and operation & maintenance input for SCTC, formulating the technical operation and maintenance plan, testing & commissioning and handover process for fit-out works that familiarize the users move-in, business operation reliability, as well as building sustainability.
