VR/AR Learning for vocational study and Demonstration in Application of Lift Works Training

Program Highlight

One of VTC’s strategic plan is using of new technology to enhance teaching and learning in vocational study. The technology enhanced learning that include with increase the use of computers and technologies to support learning, arouse learning interesting, encourage active learning, safety & etc. The seminar not only introduce the Virtual Reality(VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Learning in the different applications, but also focus on the application of VR in lift works training. In order to understand the application, the seminar shall include with facilities setting up for Live Demonstration.

Speaker:

Ir. Charles Wong is a Principal Instructor of the Pro-Act Training and Development Center (Electrical) of Vocational Training Council. He is the expertise of Lift and Escalator Engineering in Vocational Training Council.  His academic and professional background is in building services engineering and lift & escalator engineering. He was appointed as the member of “Disciplinary Board Panel under Lifts and Escalators Ordinance” and “Lift and Escalator Safety Advisory Committee” respectively. He worked in the lift & escalator engineering for over 10 years before moving into the VTC. He has worked in VTC for education and training in lift and escalator over 20 years.
