Programme Highlights
Robots are being used for increasingly advanced use cases, equipped with artificial intelligence to navigate and perform tasks autonomously in industries such as manufacturing and logistics, consumer, healthcare, agriculture, and others. However, there are various challenges in developing and operating autonomous robots. Integration with the cloud can simplify robot development and provide a cost effective and safe environment for makers to experiment with robotic ideas and build intelligent robots faster. In this sharing, we will demystify robotics technologies and provide you with an understanding of how to get started your own innovative robotics projects on AWS Cloud.
Speaker Mr. Shing Poon joined Amazon Web Services as a Senior Solutions Architect in June 2022. Having over 12 years of experience as an IT professional, he is passionate to innovate customers building secure, reliable and scalable solutions with the emerging cloud technologies. Prior to AWS, Shing worked as a technical leader to drive digital transformation in various enterprises including public utility, international logistics, global supply chain and manufacturing sector, as well as in research institutes. He graduated from Mechanical and Automation Engineering in the Chinese University of Hong Kong for his MPhil and BEng degree, with three IEEE publications during his research studies in Robotics and control system.
