Notice of the 36TH Annual General Meeting (AGM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 36th Annual General Meeting of the Control,
Automation & Instrumentation Division will be held on Tuesday, 2 May 2023 at 6:30pm at Jockey Club Auditorium, 2/F Jockey Club Campus, Hong Kong
Metropolitan University, 81 Chung Hau Street, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon for the following purposes:
1.
To
receive and confirm the Minutes of the 35th AGM.
2.
To
receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2022/2023.
3.
To
receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2022/2023.
4.
To elect
the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee for Session 2023/2024.
5.
To elect the Council Member (Division) for Sessions
2023/2024 and 2024/2025.
In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check
on the Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk and the Division’s website at http://ca.hkie.org.hk of the revised venue, time and date for the
adjourned AGM.

Nominations for Division

Chairman
The outgoing Division Committee has decided
to re-nominate Ir Prof GE Ming for election as the Chairman for Session 2023/2024.
The Division Committee has received one
nomination for the Chairman for Session 2023/2024 by the nomination deadline,
namely Ir Prof Louis F S
LOCK.
Since the number of nominations exceeds the
number of vacancies, a ballot shall be held.
Ordinary
Members - under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14
Ordinary Members, and six Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end
of the Session, namely Ir Kent LAM Wing Keung, Ir LEE Ping Kuen, Ir Louis CHING Ming Tat, Ir Paul WONG Ka Wing, Ir Ray CHOI Koon Wah and Ir Giselle YIP Chung Wa.
Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are six vacancies for the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided to nominate the following six candidates for the Ordinary Members for a
three-year term: Ir LEE Ping Kuen, Ir Paul WONG Ka Wing, Ir Ray CHOI Koon Wah, Ir Giselle YIP Chung Wa, Ir Louis YIU Yung Ngai and Ir LEUNG Chun Sing.
No other nomination has been received from members by the
nomination deadline.
Ordinary
Members - under Clause 7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Member of
the Committee who is of 35 years of age or below)
Two Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the
Session, namely Ir LO Kwan Ming and Miss Ivy CHAN Ka Man.
Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are two vacancies for the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided to re-nominate the following two candidates for the Ordinary Members for a
three-year term: Ir LO Kwan Ming and Miss Ivy CHAN Ka Man.
No other nomination has been received from
members by the nomination deadline.
Council Member (Division)
The outgoing Division Committee has
decided to nominate Ir Prof Eddie LOCK Hung Kee for election
as the Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2023/2024 and 2024/2025.
No other nomination has been received from
members by the nomination deadline.
