Programme Highlights
Introduction for : What is gas? Typical
Application for E-Nose / Gas Detector.
Hong
Kong provides a conduit between the east and
western realm for integrating the use of nanotechnology
to solve problems creating business
opportunity with means to achieve profitability. Since the invention of Taguchi
Gas Sensor (TGS) in Japan
(1962), very little progress has been made to integrate electronic noses into
industry. In this presentation, we discuss new breakthroughs in electronic nose
technology over the last decade which achieve breakthroughs in specifications,
performance, features and functionality. It is the impact of applications in
which makes this technology attractive as it can be miniturised to the
forefront of industry, where it stands as a new class of sensor and detector
instrument for commercial integration in the coming decade. The talk will focus
on prospective applications in food safety and quality, smart and green infrastructure
in the western markets, and big health (大健康),
big agriculture(大农业)and big data (大数据)in
the eastern markets.
