Programme Highlight:
The licensing regime for the property management industry came into operation on 1 August 2020. Some of the respective codes of conduct and work guidelines have been issued accordingly for the industry to follow, with a view to upgrading the professional standard of the industry.
A DMC is a private contractual agreement among all the co-owners, the manager and also the developer of a building. It defines the rights, interests and obligations of the parties concerned and basically sets out rules for the management and regulation of the building.
In this seminar, BSOMES has invited the representative(s) from PMSA and a solicitor to share the following:

Kevin Cheung – General Manager (Regulatory) of PMSA
Kevin oversees four divisions under the PMSA: Regulatory and Disciplinary, Licensing, Complaints & Enforcement and Legal Affairs.
Chan Chun-Wah – Solicitor
Mr Chan is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong. He qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1993 and joined Messrs. Chung & Kwan where he focused on the areas of conveyancing and property management. He joined S. K. Lam, Alfred Chan & Co. as a consultant in 1999 and was admitted as a partner in 2003. He now deals with a mixture of property management and construction works and acts for a number of major property management companies and builders.
