Programme Highlights
Voltage dip ride through feature in escalator has been introduced in Hong Kong for 18 years. By applying this leading escalator feature, the escalator tripping events under voltage dip event can be drastically reduced. It improves both passenger safety and system operation.
Nowadays, more than 1,200 escalators in Hong Kong are operating with the voltage dip ride-through feature. This seminar will introduce the technical requirements of how to implement the voltage dip ride-through feature in an escalator according to the EMSD Design Code of Practice. It will also cover how to specify and verify this feature in the escalator system from the client's and REE's point of view.
