Technical Webinar: Various Types of Automated Car Parking Systems (APS) and their Control Technologies

Programme Highlights

An automated parking system (APS) is a technologically advanced solution designed to automate and optimize the process of parking vehicles. It utilizes various technologies to efficiently manage vehicle parking within a designated parking facility. The traditional manual tasks involved in parking, such as searching for a parking space and maneuvering the vehicle into the spot, are replaced by automated mechanisms. 

Implementing automated parking systems in Hong Kong can help address the parking challenges associated with limited land availability, alleviate parking congestion, improve the overall user experience, promote sustainability, and align with the Smart City initiatives. 

This Seminar will give a brief overview of various types of APS technology suiting different environments, existing projects and insight of APS development in Hong Kong.

Speaker

Mr. Anakin Liu and Mr. Vincent Foo 

Mr. Anakin Liu, specialist in mechanical and automation with over 12 years design, installation, operation, and maintenance experience, is a Chartered Engineer, member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and member of Society of Operations Engineers. He is the Project Manager of Jardine Engineering Corporation. 

Mr. Vincent Foo, “High-level Talent” of Shenzhen City & Bao’an District with over 19 years design and installation experience, is Registered Constructor of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Senior Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. He is Committee Member of the Parking Equipment Subcommittee of the National Lifting Machinery Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC227/SC5) and Expert Committee of Parking Equipment Working Committee of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association. He is the Engineering Director of CIMC AIoT Technology.
