Modular Integrated Construction Lift “MiC lift” is designed and built with multi-trade collaboration, off-site construction, lift preassembly in modules and on-site plug & play concepts. This new trend has developed rapidly and will benefit the Industry with enhanced resource allocation, productivity and site management, as well as contribution to the environment and safety.
This Seminar will give a brief overview of some current projects in adoption of MiC and MiMEP method for installation in lift shaft and lift machine room in the construction industry. This innovative method aims to maximize the full potential installation inside lift machine room and lift shaft module. Besides, adoption of MiC method for the most lift equipment installed inside lift tower will be highlighted during the section.
Speaker
Ir Ivan Kwan is the Assistant General Manager of Chevalier Construction Company Ltd. He is corporate member of HKIE and he is responsible for BIM, MEP and MiMEP development in recent construction projects.
Mr. Alan Yip has received his BEng in Mechanical Engineering, BBA Major in Management in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and MSc in Building Services Engineering in the University of Hong Kong. He is now the Project in Charge (PIC) of MiC projects in Chevalier (HK) Ltd. regarding new lifts installation.
