Programme Highlights
Embark on an innovative journey with RENO VR, a HKIE & Cyberport-supported startup that seamlessly integrates immersive virtual reality (VR) technology within the Building Information Modeling (BIM) ecosystem. The startup delves into the intricacies of employing multi-user VR applications for immersive visualization of complex BIM projects. By evaluating this system in real-world construction settings, RENO VR aims to enhance communication, collaboration, and understanding among workers.
Discover the challenges and barriers faced by existing VR construction training applications and explore how RENO VR overcomes these limitations. By introducing a multiplayer system that fosters collaboration among users, RENO VR revolutionizes traditional training approaches by offering a platform where construction personnel can engage in realistic training scenarios. This immersive experience equips participants with practical skills, deepens their comprehension of complex construction processes, and cultivates a heightened awareness of safety protocols.
Speakers Ir Julian Yam Man Huen Ir Julian, a chartered civil engineer with over 8 years of experience, leads the discussion on RENO VR's transformative impact on construction training. With expertise as a Chartered Civil Engineer (CENG), Registered Professional Engineer (RPE), and a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (MHKIE), Ir Julian brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. As a Resident Engineer who is responsible to manage the implementation of innovative technologies and smart site safety system (4S) in a public works contract, his insights and practical experience promise to shed light on the future of construction training through immersive VR technologies.
