Technical Visit: ATAL Tower – Smart & Sustainable Building Solutions

Programme Highlights

Discover the future of engineering at ATAL Tower, Hong Kong’s pioneering Platinum BEAM Plus-rated industrial revitalisation project. It is also the first project to meet the Government’s requirement of dedicating 10% of its floor space to social development functions. This transformation has established it as a design, research, and training centre, setting a benchmark for future projects. This technical visit offers a unique opportunity to explore an interactive exhibition showcasing ATAL’s expertise in smart, digital and sustainable building solutions, covering applications for both new developments and existing building upgrades. 

Participants will gain insights into ATAL’s latest innovations, including:

- AI-driven BMS & Energy Management Platform 
- Active Chilled Beam Air-conditioning Technology 
- Renewable & Green Solutions (walkable PV pavers, oil-free chillers, high-efficiency systems)

Speaker

Ir Billy Cheung has over 22 years of experience in digital and sustainable engineering, with extensive expertise across ICT systems, ELV and security solutions, building automation, energy efficiency, lighting control, laboratory pressure control and large scale intelligent and green building projects. 

He currently serves as Sales & Service Director at ATAL Engineering Group, where he leads the Intelligent & Green Building Solutions Department and drives the development and delivery of advanced smart building and energy optimisation solutions. His work has played a significant role in driving major digitalisation and sustainability initiatives across Hong Kongs’ buildings environment.
